A leading global Standard adopted by major retailers, manufacturers and packaging businesses around the world

Originally created to establish a Standard for the suppliers of packaging and packaging materials for the food industry, this Standard is now a leading global Standard adopted by major retailers, manufacturers and packaging businesses around the world and is equally applicable to consumer products packaging producers. Certification to the Standard verifies technical performance, aids manufacturers’ fulfillment of legal obligations and helps provide protection to the consumer.

This standard is created in close collaboration with the Packaging Society (formerly The Institute of Packaging - IoP) is a division of the Institute of Minerals and Mining, an association for individual professionals working throughout the whole materials cycle.

Tracing its origins back to the Institute of Packaging, formed in 1947, the Society focuses its attention on packaging training, helping its members to develop their packaging expertise and promoting an awareness of the usefulness of packaging amongst the public at large.

ISACert is accredited with RvA for the Packaging and Packaging Materials standards, with the scopes: glass, paper, metals and plastic packing materials.
